The Carteret Chamber in partnership with the League of Women Voters hosts neutral forums for contested local races each fall. Constituents are invited to submit questions online before each forum. Forums are video recorded and streamed live when possible.
Carteret Sheriff Candidate Forum
Submit Your Questions and Hear Directly From the Candidates
Election season is nearly here, and with it comes an important opportunity for Carteret County residents to meet and hear directly from those seeking to represent them.
All forums are free, open to the community, and will be live streamed on the Chamber’s YouTube channel . Video recordings will be available there after each forum closes.
The forum will begin with panelist introductions followed by pre-screened questions posed by moderator Jerry Jones, former mayor of Morehead City, with timed responses from the candidates. Candidates will also be given the opportunity for a 2-minute closing summary at the end of the forum.
Both the Chamber and the League are nonprofit, nonpartisan organizations that do not endorse candidates or political parties.
