In this blog post, we’ll delve into the various ways Chamber members can use benefits of membership to expand their digital marketing strategy. Whether you’re a small startup or an established business, harnessing the power of Chamber membership could be the missing piece in your digital marketing puzzle. And, yes, all of these perks are free with your membership! All you need to do is log in to your member account. You can use all the tools listed below from either the “basic info,” “profile” or “business center” tab in your member area. If you have not logged in before, use the “Forgot Password” tool using the email address you have on file with the Chamber.

1. Business Profile:

Your membership includes a customizable business profile on our website, which includes a logo, business description, contact information, links to social media and an option list of key contacts in your organization. There’s no word limit, so we strongly encourage our members to list their products and services and highlight offerings that are unique to their business. DoubleTree by Hilton – Atlantic Beach Oceanfront’s business profile is a great example of this:

These profiles are search-friendly, both from our Business Directory page and Google and other search platforms. This is a powerful functionality, especially for smaller businesses or independent agents who may not have a dedicated website. Fore example, someone searching for a Mary Kay rep in our county will see longtime Chamber Member Debbie Fisher’s business profile at the top of their search results:

Customers can even find Debbie without specifically searching “Mary Kay.” A search for “Carteret County cosmetics” serves up the Chamber’s “Personal Care & Beauty” category as the top organic result–and Debbie is on that list. The more content you place on your business profile, the more powerful it will be in searches.

2. Deals, Discounts & Promotions:

Our new deals, discounts and promotions feature is one of the most powerful new tools we offer our Members. This is the spot to submit any sort of price breaks or purchasing incentives that you want to get out to the public.

Why do we love it so much?

  • You can schedule a start and end time for your offer. It will only appear on our website when it is vaild.
  • You can upload an eye-catching image, such as a flyer or coupon
  • You can include a reference code (aka, a coupon code), which is especially powerful for online transactions
  • You can spell out requirements, like, “new customers only” or “applies to purchases over $50”
  • A link to your promotion shows up on your business profile
  • People can easily share your promotion to their social media pages (or YOU can!)
  • Customers can easily print out the promotion or show it on their phone

Plus, all deals and discounts are promoted in our bi-monthly Business Beat newsletter, either directly or via a link to the listings page.

3. News & Announcements:

Keep customers engaged and catch the attention of new clients by sharing company news, updates, and industry insights on our Members only Business Beat blog. Members can publish articles, press releases, and any sort of announcement that needs to get out there. News and announcement headlines will appear in the Business Beat newsletter as well, pushing your news to the inboxes of 2,500 local business contacts.

This feature is great for:

  • Sharing success stories or staff accomplishments
  • Publicizing your business’s service to the community
  • Announcing new products and services
  • For non-profits, soliciting sponsors, donors, and volunteers
  • And any other new information you want to put on blast

We suggest using this feature in tandem with your social media strategy by linking your social post to your news story on our Business Beat blog. Having your news published on the Chamber website adds credibility and fosters trust with your reader.

4. Job Postings:

Finding the right talent is crucial for business growth. At the Chamber, we pride ourselves in helping businesses and potential employees connect with each other via networking events and direct inquiries, and now we can add digital promotion to that list. This job posting feature allows you to easily set up a comprehensive job listing that includes everything from pay ranges to travel percentage, and you can choose to use as many or few of those options as you want.

If your website doesn’t have a place to post job openings and you aren’t interested in paying for Indeed’s services, this is an excellent option for you. Just like deals, you can easily share your job across your social media pages or link to it from an online ad.

Once you’ve made a hire, you can simply go to your account and mark it “filled.”
