Our Chamber provides a wide variety of benefits that help our members grow their business or organization, regardless of their industry, target audience, stage of development, annual revenue, or growth strategy.
In a close-knit area like Carteret County, face to face interactions are critical to organizational growth. Our networking events are opportunities for our members to get to know each other, learn about goings-on in the business world, and identify future customers, partners, and supporters.
Business After Hours is a monthly Chamber tradition. This is a series of high-powered networking events, which are designed specifically for Chamber members to combine business and pleasure. In April, the Chamber hosts a Business After Hours Expo that combines the fellowship and fun of a normal Business After Hours event with all the buzz and excitement of a business trade show.
Small Business Roundtables are presented by the Carteret Community College Small Business Center. Each Roundtable provides business owners with an opportunity to discuss common business concerns and learn from one another. Find more information on the Small Business Center website.
Public & Legislative Affairs
The Chamber’s Public & Legislative Affairs Committee (PLAC) maintains relationships with local, state, and federal officials. We host two major PLAC events each year: the spring Legislative Luncheon and the fall State of the Community Breakfast to give members face time with elected officials and local leadership.
PLAC also crafts an annual Legislative Agenda each year that is shaped by and voted on by our member organizations. Our public and legislative affairs efforts depend on open communication with our members who help us stay up to date with the various issues that could impact our business community. Marketing & Publicity
Getting your business or organization name out there is key to growth! We proudly offer free and low-cost marketing opportunities to our members, plus robust sponsorship packages with a range of high-visibility promotional options and media plugs.
Chamber publications offer effective and affordable marketing opportunities such as color-enhanced listings or advertisements in the print directory, low-cost sponsorships in our email newsletters, and low-cost online display advertising.
The Chamber offers dozens of sponsorship opportunities exclusive to our members. Members can choose from a host of event sponsorships, invest their philanthropic dollars in one of our programs, or choose a blend of the two. Chamber members are invited to apply for a seat on our Board of Directors or to serve on one of our committees: Military Affairs Committee, Connect Carteret Young Professionals, Ambassador’s Club, or
the Leadership Carteret Steering Committee. All are great ways to connect with likeminded people who want to make a difference in our community.
