Update 5/17/24:

The Carteret Military Affairs Committee has made the difficult decision to postpone Military Family Fishing Day due to the high chance of thunderstorms and other severe weather tomorrow.

We do not yet have a new date, but are working with our partners to reschedule this event. Once a new date has been locked in, we will reach out to registrants to confirm their registration for the new date.

Thank you for allowing us to serve you,

-The Carteret Military Affairs Committee

Pre-registration is open for Military Family Fishing Day on Saturday, May 18, from 9 am to 1 pm. Active duty military families with children are invited to spend a day of fishing out at Oceanana Pier and lunch at the Pier House Restaurant.

This event is at capacity, but the waitlist is open. We encourage you to sign up for the waitlist in case we have any cancellations. Registration for the waitlist can be completed below.

Kids age 4-17 and 18-year-olds currently enrolled in high school are invited to participate in fishing, then take their fishing poles home. Younger kids are welcome to come cheer on their older siblings. We’ll have bubbles to blow, snacks to enjoy, and plenty of beach to play on!

A maximum of two parents or guardians per active duty military family are invited to attend and enjoy lunch provided by the Military Affairs Committee. If your family brings more than 2 adults, the additional guests will purchase their own lunches. Additional guests do not need to be registered.

If you have questions, email Taylor or call the Chamber at 252-726-6350.

We apologize. Our waitlist has hit maximum capacity and has closed. Please sign up for the Military Affairs Committee monthly email newsletter to learn about future events:
