FirstLight Home Care Hosts Business After Hours with a Heart of Gold

What a wonderful evening at Business After Hours!

A huge thank you to FirstLight Home Care of Jacksonville for hosting such a memorable evening and bringing our Chamber members together at the beautiful Mountain Brook Vineyards tasting room in Emerald Isle. Between the delicious charcuterie from Michelle & Laura’s Charcuterie Creations, locally produced wines, great conversation, and plenty of fun giveaways, it was a night to remember!

Our hosts, FirstLight Home Care owners Tina Glenn and Roget de Percin Berendes, are passionate about making a difference and helping people have their best day, every day, through private home care services. They also challenged us to pause and celebrate the people who make a difference in our own lives and in our community.

As part of their “Bee the Difference” challenge, guests submitted the names of people who make a difference in our community. A beautiful gift basket was presented to Rachel Hardin, of the Carteret County Humane Society Shelter Manager, in recognition of the difference she makes in our community.

And, of course, there were plenty of chances to win! Guests took home “Flash Hammers,” a gift bag, Wawa gift cards, and a bottle of wine donated by Mountain Brook Vineyards, along with the usual 50/50 cash drawing.

Thank you, FirstLight Home Care, Mountain Brook Vineyards and everyone who joined us for a fantastic evening!

Here’s to our incredible Chamber members who continue to show up, support one another, invest in our community, and help make Carteret County such a special place to live, work, and grow!
