Education, training, development–whatever you want to call it, even the most seasoned of CEOs needs to keep their professional skills in tip-top shape. We offer a variety of professional development opportunities through our Chamber programs and in partnership with local professional organizations.

Leadership Carteret
These aren’t actual firefighters, they’re Leadership Carteret students! During this 10-week course, 30 people from all stages of career development come together for a life-changing experience. Classes tour Carteret County from end to end, get behind-the-scenes access at Cherry Point, hear from local leaders, bond together and build each other up professionally. Leadership Carteret takes place once a year from mid-January to mid-March.

Young Professionals Workshops
Connect Carteret – A Young Professionals Network hosts workshops aimed at addressing issues often faced by professionals as they find their footing in the world, lock into a career path, and climb the ladder toward mid-career. Workshop topics cover a wide range of topics and are open to people of all ages.

Small Business Center Seminars
Our community partner, the Small Business Center at Carteret Community College, hosts in-person and online seminars on a variety of subjects, from marketing hacks to conflict management. The Chamber regularly works with the SBC to develop new learning opportunities and spread awareness of this excellent resource.
